August 8, 2016 Rain, Mud, Service

We did some more service this week. We shoveled sooo much gravel it took us 5 and a half hours and we are like halfway done!!! So yeah tomorrow we get to do more service.

So again we are trying to get more people to teach we are gonna do lots of tracting. Which is where we go door to door! I get nervous talking to random people until I get to know them.

So I went under a house again to level out the floor I was in there when one elder said "elder Walker did you crap your pants?!?!" Well I was kicking up tons of dust that smelled like straight up crap because it was!!! The ground was layered with rat poo and it stunk really bad it is a dang good thing I had a mask on.

Well we are gonna do service tracting where we dress up in service clothes knock doors and ask if anyone needs service. Pretty interesting!!

So my comp is really into cars he is super smart with cars when he talks about them there is nothing I understand!!

So that's all about life!!!

Just kidding I had a blast when it rained it was AWESOME!!!! The dirt and mud actually washed out of my clothes!!!!!

August 1, 2016 Kenny and Brother Trail

We had 2 lessons with crazy people this week one was a guy named Kenny!!!! Kenny is this old man who has a shag and a goatee he climbs trees while he is drunk. Like that is his job is to climb trees and cut limbs down with a chainsaw well pretty crazy right?!

We spent like an hour and a half teaching the plan of salvation and it was crazy he kept asking off the wall questions. Well we got through the whole lesson. He went home, prayed and got an answer to his question a voice said as clear as day "Kenny you are doing the right thing continue meeting with these men" ahhhh!!!! Isn't that crazy?!?! Definitely being worked on by the spirit. 

I am glad my Tetanus shot is still good. I stepped on a rusty nail it went right through my boot into my foot!!! I have never felt such pain in my foot!!!! 😮😮  It swelled up a ton and I couldn't walk where it went in. So yeah that was on Wednesday last week now it's all better!!!

Well doing tons of finding don't really have a teaching pool.

Brother trail he is HILARIOUS!!!! He talks about like cyborgs on the moon. He says that before the flood Giants were as big as mountains and after the flood they were a lot smaller. He says "UFO's are not aliens, they are Satan's people." Hahaha he says "zombies do exist!! they do!!! Since Satan's people can't have bodies they wait till someone is dead and decomposing then they possess the dead body and walk around earth doing wicked things!!!" Hahahaha. He is soooo great to listen to. We went over to him on Saturday and he talked to me while his wife helped my companion make moccasins he talked to me all about Christ and how things work because of him, his energy emanates to all things causing them to work. He said "Elder Walker the atom bomb isn't a separation of atoms splitting them apart, it is a separation of the atoms from Christ that's what makes a BOOM!!!!!"

So yeah I might be making a cradle board where the apaches hold their babies in. It's safe to use and is really cool!!!!

July 11, 2016 Mission Life

There was soooo much that goes into the restoration

And sooo much goes into each of those topics I've mentioned above. So study up. As Ezra Taft Benson said study the constitution that is my commitment to you all.

So life I was sick yesterday I was super duper dizzy and my body lost soooo much strength. I had like 5 nosebleeds because the air is sooo dry. The nosebleeds would last like 15 minutes of constant running well the last one I had I almost fell over while taking care of it. I was not feeling good at all I laced down on the couch and my body was soooo weak. Well I am better now!!!! We meet the new mission president today. Well I already have he came to me shook my hand gave me a hug, asked me my name, asked where I was from and then went on his way. So brief but good I get to receive trainings from him later today!!!

We have started the stop smoking program in our wards. It is a 15 step program that will allow people to quit smoking in 7 days!!!!! Doesn't matter how long they have been trying. This one lady we did it with had been smoking for 15 years and in 7 days she was repulsed by cigarettes when she smelled them she almost throws up now.

Well I'll tell you more next week!!!

July 4, 2016 Happy 4th!!!

4th of July was awesome!!!!!! Happy birthday dad!!!!! You are getting to be an old man!!! Hahahaha. Love you. Guys I've been out over a year everyone says time just flies when you hit your year mark!!!

Yesterday there were tons of people!!!!! Oh man the firework show was pretty awesome!!!! I LOVE FIREWORKS!!!!!!! Maybe that will be my job making fireworks. Anyways. At 4:30 we got up and went to the park where they shot off a cannon like 20 times it was SUPER loud!!!!!!
Then we started cooking pancakes at 5:00 started serving at like 6:00 and cooked and flipped pancakes until like 9-9:30 it was awesome!!!!

I have gotten to go under 2 houses one to turn on a hose I crawled under and gave the little knob a half turn and boom it was good!!!! The second house was We took out the floor in brother trails house we worked for like 4-5 hours we pounded the dirt and made the crawl space bigger we dug like 6-7 inches down in the dirt and that made a bigger space where we could get underneath. So I went underneath the house lots of spiderwebs and mouse droppings. Well I got under there and the insulation hit my arms and face, the fiberglass in the insulation is super itchy!!!!!!! While I was under the house I had to cut some copper pipe.

A guy named JD was baptized I'll send some pics!! It was awesome JD has been investigating for only 3 months, he stopped drinking coffee, he agreed to live the law of chastity, he pays his tithing, he fasts, and he comes to church all the time. He wakes up and has to be to work by 3:30 in the morning and he will remind everyone in the family who is already members hey we need to do family prayer and scriptures and then at like 11:00 he will sent out one text to us that said "is it normal that your eyes leak as you read the Book of Mormon?" I mean Holy Ghost present there. So it was quite exciting. He is like in his late 30's and the crazy part is he came to the missionaries and said hey how do I take he lessons and become a member? He wants to get his patriarchal blessing and the priesthood.

Well I know the gospel is true. God lives he is our father in heaven he loves us and knows us perfectly and unconditionally!!! Jesus is my friend he is a teacher he is my savior he is my role model, he lived a perfect life, he suffered in the garden and upon he cross so that we could be clean and return to live with him and God and our loved ones again in heaven. I know God answers prayers, that when we are going through a hard time we can rely on his love and mercy, he will help us in our lives he is aware of our struggles and knows our needs. This is my simple testimony in the name of Jesus Christ amen!!

June 27, 2016 JD and Service

So time to talk about the week. We had a lesson with JD this week we taught the law of chastity, the priesthood, and the atonement!!! A couple days before the lesson guess what JD said!!!!!!!! He said I can't wait until I am baptized then I can get the priesthood and also get my patriarchal blessing!!! His baptism is this Sunday!!!!!

We did some service this week. I took out half of the weeds In a backyard with a shovel so my forearms hurt Some weird lady at the store looked at me and was staring at me then she said "you would look SOOOO good with gold eyebrows"😮😮

So yeah not really much happened this week. So yeah

June 20, 2016 St. Johns

The people in Saint John's really take care of us. We get subway half off I got a huge fat foot long for 3 dollars and I loaded a 6inch up with veggies and only had to pay $1.49 that's sooooo cheap!!! We get free drinks from the gas station like the fountain drinks sort of like a big gulp. But not called a big gulp. We get free ice cream on Fridays and we get free snow cones once a week. We don't have a Walmart here in town. Restraints we have tlcs which is a family owned little diner. We have a subway we have a Mexican restaurant called el cupidos and an authentic Mexican place el camino. And for our stores here there is a really expensive store called Wilbur's which we will only buy eggs and fresh produce from like veggies and there is a dollar general which we shop at.

Fishing is sooooo fun!!!! I learned patience when we went fishing. I caught nothing for 4 hours and then in less then 30 minutes I had my limit of 6. altogether the 5 of us caught 30 fish. I got super sunburnt!

June 13, 2016 Transfers

Hey guys I have been transferred I am in a little town called St. John's. So it is awesome it is like 2,000 people or something around there. Mom well with the thing about heroes guess who my hero is. This area we have a part of the area called "the 40's" where there are 40 acre pieces of property . So the houses on this part of the area Are really far apart but it is a good thing that most of our area is not like that.

My hero is my dad he is such an amazing man. The fact He is a hard worker, he'll get things done, he loves having fun, he is a provider, he is a protector, and he is my father. I love him. He is one of the greatest people I know. Love you dad. Happy Father's Day hope you have a good one.

Preston this is for you bro keep running because it will keep you in good shape. Now guess what when you are at a meet you run as hard as you can don't just try to stay right in 2nd then at the end go to 1st. Run as hard as you can keep pushing yourself. Run super hard and you will see great progress.

Heath keep it up I can't wait to hear about you and your adventures you gotta send me a pic of you in your scrubs. Haha have a blast!!! Don't get scared of blood.
