July 27, 2015 One Month Down

Hey guess what I am 1/24 of the way done!!! Noooo!!!!!

Anyways was the reunion good? :D I bet it was.

How is Preston? Is he gonna email me? I haven't got an email from him. How has his summer been?

Are you all doing well? Is anything new?

Preston should read Moses 7.  I really like Mosiah 3:18-20. It is really cool and talks about becoming as a little child. I'd say I am like a child quite a bit.

Anyways when you fast - fast for 24 hours it gives you a ton of strength!

So I got stung by a bee and oh man!! It hurt so bad I was like ouch man that hurt like a butcher on a stick (for Preston ;) hahaha! I will send pics. (You’ll be able to see the difference from my left hand and my right.

I really love the sunsets here. The picture of the sunset is at a place called the rodeo grounds.

Now don't forget who all your favorite friend, brother, cousin, nephew, and son is. It’s me!!!! Hahaha

Well that's all for this week - next week things are gonna be crazy!!! ;D

July 20, 2015 The Gospel is Simple

Hey all yall I just ate my first Apache food I had fry bread or
bun-kaha in Apache it is really really tasty!!

We have a waptism which is a baptism and a wedding of the same couple and the guy that I was talking about Lucus is getting baptized after the wedding they have asked me to bepart of the wedding!!!!

I have lots of work and I love teaching simply.  Did you know how simple the gospel is? The gospel is having faith in Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism, the gift of the Holy Ghost and enduring to the end.  As you live the gospel that simple thing, you will make it to the celestial kingdom!!!! JJJJ Isn't that crazy!!!!??!?!?!??!! *BOOM* mind blown!!!!!!!

We have 62 members being taught and 10 new members and 16 investigators!!!! Isn't that crazy?!?!?!

This picture is of a lady's dog.  She loves to be petted on her head and when you pet her she follows you all over the place.

One of our investigators was a drug addict and alcoholic and he went cold turkey because he wants to change.  He has a baptismal date set for July 25!

July 6, 2015 Arizona Day 1 (Written by Sis. Bass - Mission Secretary)

Dear Parents:

Please excuse this mass email, but I wanted to get the news of the safe arrival of your missionary to you as soon as possible.  It is a little later than I had hoped for! So I hope you haven’t been too anxious!

The flight was about 30-45 min. late which threw off our day’s schedule of events slightly.  But the missionaries are a great group, very alert, and eager to get to work.  They are very enthusiastic and we are impressed with their desires to serve the Lord.

President has interviewed each of them, they  have endured our orientation, and have gone out with the missionaries doing some street contacting.  And now they’re eating a yummy dinner of “CafĂ© Rio” which all the missionaries love.  It’s the big burrito menu item filled with their choice of toppings.  I assure you, they will be well fed tonight!

Tomorrow morning they are up at 6 am doing sport with President, then breakfast at the mission home with cereal, pancakes, bacon and fruit.  Sister Sweeney knows how to feed missionaries and what they love! She spoils them rotten!

Next week I will send you some hard copy photos of your missionary with President and Sister Sweeney and a group photo so you can post it on your refrigerator or in a scrapbook!  It takes a while to get them back from the printers but you have a wonderful personal letter from President Sweeney and it will be worth the wait.  I would expect toward next Friday (July 17th).

Thank you for sending us your most cherished possession and we promise to take good care of them.  Give them this first transfer (6 weeks) to really settle in. Try not to worry about them! Remember you have entrusted them into our care to turn them into Men and Women! And President does a great job! We sent home 18 this morning and they are well groomed future leaders of The Church! We have no need to fear for our future leadership in The Church!

“Wherefore, be not weary in well-doing,
for ye are laying the foundation of a
great work.  And out of small things
 proceedeth that which is great.”
